So, I have seen lots of people posting their weight at the beginning of this year to become accountable for their New Year's resolution of losing weight. I guess putting it out there gives you the motivation to actually follow through with losing the weight. Well, I'm still putting on weight - for the next 10 weeks, at least - so I won't be showing my weight. Instead, I am showing the before of the first room up on my Project Organization for the year.
The most embarrassing thing about this is that just over 3 years ago, I did a before and after of this space. But since then, the room has become much more than an office/scrapbook room. Abbi's room used to be storage, until I moved everything out of there and into this room so that she could have a room. So now, this room is twice as crowded and cluttered as it was before!! But now, with baby boy coming in a few weeks, it's time to get rid of the clutter for good.
This is by far the most embarrassing space in my house. In fact, no one is ever allowed in here except for me and Josh. So I feel like I'm really putting myself out there by posting these - but hopefully it will be the extra push I need. The goal is to have everything cleared out by the end of the month so that I can start decorating for the baby. Now I just need to figure out where to put everything!
Plan of attack - lots of garbage and lots of boxes full of garage sale stuff so we can have a huge garage sale in the spring. The sad thing is that when I took these pictures, I had already moved out some of the stuff! But stay tuned for a clean - and cleared - room by the end of the month!

dang girl! end of the month?! Talk about nesting?!
Oh my sweet Deborah I wish I lived there and I would come help you. If it makes you feel any better my storage rooms look way worse:( Yours are some what organized looking, and you can see the floor.
I think everyone has a space like this! We did before Andrew was born. It took us FOREVER to clean out his room -- and then again with Will's room. Such a huge project, but luckily you're about to enter the nesting phase so not only will it get done, you'll probably enjoy doing it too! :)
By the way, I love the new look of your site!
You know.. I'm glad you posted this.. I'm not alone. I think this more like reality for a lot of people. Just baby steps. that's what I've been doing lately. You can't do it all on one week anyway.. the garbage can gets too full to quickly. I've been picking one spot a week that I go through. It's been working so far..
