Baby Tyce

So - I haven't really been doing photography lately.  After some thought, I decided that I'd rather put my energy into my food blog because it's so hard to make it as a photographer here in Utah.  I love doing it, but everyone and their dog is a photographer here, and people charge so little, that it would just take way too much time and energy to build a business.  I recently decided to even take down my website, since I was paying for it every month.  But, I still love to have opportunities to do photos, because I really do love it!!  So whenever I do any photos, I still want to give a little sneak peek - so I decided I'll post them here.  (Especially since I'll probably only do pics for family and friends!)

I'm so glad I had the chance to take pictures of my sister's baby - Tyce.  This guy is so little!  He was born 3 weeks early at 4 pounds 10 ounces.  I think he was just over 2 weeks old when we did his pictures, so he had gained some weight, but was still teeny - especially since I am used to Easton who is ginormous!!

It took us awhile to get Tyce to fall asleep enough to cooperate, but once he was asleep, he was so good.  I love all of his hair and I'm so glad that Easton will have him as a cousin to grow up with and become great friends!!

Day #2 - Your favorite shoes

It's funny that this is the challenge for today, because just yesterday, I was talking to my sister about how worn out all my shoes are and how much I need to go shopping!!  Then, this morning while I was out for a run, I realized that even though these aren't stylish shoes - and maybe they aren't even my favorite shoes to put on in the morning - but these shoes are my favorite for many reasons.

--These shoes are going to help me to get healthy

--These shoes are going to help me lose the last 10 pounds of baby weight

--These shoes are going to give me the energy I need to play with my children

--These shoes are going to give me back my self esteem

--These shoes are going to help me notice the beauty of the world around me as I discover it

--These shoes are going to help to me one day buy a pair of skinny jeans

--These shoes are going to make me stronger, and lighter

--These shoes are going to my ticket to feeling good about myself again!

I came across this post through Pinterest a few days ago, and thought that this would be a fun thing to do.  I was just going to post them to my Flickr account, and maybe do a round up on here at the end of the month, but then I decided that I'm going to also post here everyday.  So - along with my regular posting, I'll be posting my daily photo challenges as well!  (At least maybe this will force me to stay caught up on posting!!)

Notes: I really am over this series now...  I've liked it ok, but there are several things in these books that bother me.  I think I've just kept reading them because I'm so far into them now, and I didn't want to give up.  I actually thought that this was supposed to be the last book in the series, but by the time I got to the ending, I knew that there would be another.  But even though everything is left wide open, I don't think I'll keep reading this series.  There are just too many other books that I want to read!
