These hooligans...

I'm not going to lie - sometimes it's hard to get out and do things with 3 kids in tow.  We had met up with Syndi for lunch, and then a friend had a little coffee shop open in SLC so we headed up for a little meet up.  The kids were not on their best behavior, and our visit was cut short, and my patience was running very thin.  But then I look back at this picture, and I just have to laugh.  They really are crazy kids sometimes but I sure do love them to death!  (And yes - Abbi is wearing her jammies.  It was pajama day at school.)

It had to be documented.  My boys are weird.  This is how they eat hot dogs.  I have no idea where they learned this!!

Living Nativity 2014

I was so excited that we were able to go to the Living Nativity this year.  My mom took the kids last year, so this was the first time for Josh and I.  Tami got tickets, and we were all supposed to meet there.  But when our family go there, the line was really long (apparently lots of people were showing up without tickets??)  We found out that we could just walk up and skip the long lines of people waiting to take a ride there, so we decided to do that.  It was pretty crowded, and we didn't get to meet up with my family, but I still think it was a pretty special experience.  You got to see some of the animals that were there at the time of Christ's birth, and get a glimpse of Bethlehem.  I'm hoping that we make this a yearly tradition!

Love these girls!!

Michelle came into town for Thanksgiving, and we were miraculously able to pull of getting together for lunch today.  Miraculous because I was still without a car, so we had to some arranging, but between both of their cars, they saved me and we were able to make it work.  I am so grateful for the time I get with good friends - I just wish it happened more often!!

Every day when Josh gets home from work, the kids are all over him.  They love it when daddy comes home!!  Today, they wanted to pull out all of the games to play with daddy.  Josh had fun showing them the fun of setting up all of the dominoes and then knocking them down.

Camden is 2!!

I can't believe Camden is already 2 years old!!  I still remember being pregnant with him like it was yesterday.  But he is such a little character, and such a blessing to our family - I can't imagine life without him!!

We kept things pretty low key since we are still car-less.  He wanted doughnuts for breakfast, so Josh and I picked up some grocery store doughnuts when we were on a date the night before.  He was very happy to get doughnuts for breakfast!!

Grandma and Grandpa Mitchell stopped by that morning with gifts - a minion backpack and helicopter and train.  He played with those all day long!  (As did Easton - at least for once Easton was wanting to play with Camden!)

Nanas and Gumpgump came over later in the afternoon, bringing chocolate chip cookies and another present!  They gave him some tonka trucks, that again - Easton was pretty excited about as well!  They loved playing with those trucks together!!

The plan was for me to make Camden a cake.  He kept saying he wanted a blue cake, so I found a white cake recipe online and colored it blue.  And it was a disaster.  The cake looked like a volcano - the centers of all the layers caved in, and there wasn't nearly enough icing.  It was so bad, in fact, that I ended up running to Wal-Mart to get a cake.  The person wasn't there to write on the cake, and all they had was some cookie frosting, so I decided to just go with it - hence the terrible writing on the cake.  But Easton was happy, and that's all that matters in the end, right!!

We had cake and presents after dinner.  We gave Easton a basketball hoop game that goes over the back of a door.  Plus some clothes, which he wasn't very excited about.

It was fun to be able to celebrate our little 2 year old!
