Love these girls!!

Michelle came into town for Thanksgiving, and we were miraculously able to pull of getting together for lunch today.  Miraculous because I was still without a car, so we had to some arranging, but between both of their cars, they saved me and we were able to make it work.  I am so grateful for the time I get with good friends - I just wish it happened more often!!

Every day when Josh gets home from work, the kids are all over him.  They love it when daddy comes home!!  Today, they wanted to pull out all of the games to play with daddy.  Josh had fun showing them the fun of setting up all of the dominoes and then knocking them down.

They are still rocking their Halloween costumes! I'm pretty sure we have already got our money's worth on them. :)

Camden is 2!!

I can't believe Camden is already 2 years old!!  I still remember being pregnant with him like it was yesterday.  But he is such a little character, and such a blessing to our family - I can't imagine life without him!!

We kept things pretty low key since we are still car-less.  He wanted doughnuts for breakfast, so Josh and I picked up some grocery store doughnuts when we were on a date the night before.  He was very happy to get doughnuts for breakfast!!

Grandma and Grandpa Mitchell stopped by that morning with gifts - a minion backpack and helicopter and train.  He played with those all day long!  (As did Easton - at least for once Easton was wanting to play with Camden!)

Nanas and Gumpgump came over later in the afternoon, bringing chocolate chip cookies and another present!  They gave him some tonka trucks, that again - Easton was pretty excited about as well!  They loved playing with those trucks together!!

The plan was for me to make Camden a cake.  He kept saying he wanted a blue cake, so I found a white cake recipe online and colored it blue.  And it was a disaster.  The cake looked like a volcano - the centers of all the layers caved in, and there wasn't nearly enough icing.  It was so bad, in fact, that I ended up running to Wal-Mart to get a cake.  The person wasn't there to write on the cake, and all they had was some cookie frosting, so I decided to just go with it - hence the terrible writing on the cake.  But Easton was happy, and that's all that matters in the end, right!!

We had cake and presents after dinner.  We gave Easton a basketball hoop game that goes over the back of a door.  Plus some clothes, which he wasn't very excited about.

It was fun to be able to celebrate our little 2 year old!

This boy can't figure out when he is supposed to sleep.  Lately, he has been waking up really early, 5 or 5:30, and then he is so tired by 10am that he falls asleep wherever he is. I'm hoping he'll figure it all out soon (especially so I don't have to get up at 5am!)

At a Glance {11/12/14}

The boys love going out to the bus stop in the morning with Abbi, but it's been so cold that we have been staying inside. We are lucky that the bus stop is literally right in front of our house, so we can just watch for the bus and send Abbi out when it gets there. And even though I haven't been letting the boys go out, they still love to stand at the window and wave goodbye to their big sister! (Max included)

Wrinkly Fingers

Camden Wrinkly Fingers from Deborah Harroun on Vimeo.

This boy cracks me up!! A few days ago, after taking a bath, his fingers were wrinkly. And when he said "wrinkly", it made me laugh. I just had to get it on camera this time!

9 years

9 Years...

It's one of those times where it feels like just yesterday, but at the same time, it feels like forever ago.

9 years ago, we started this journey as a married couple. I never realized just how hard marriage could be, but at the same time, I never realized just how rewarding marriage could be. We have seen so much in the last 9 years, been through so much. But one thing is constant through it all - I cannot imagine my life without him, and I couldn't have survived the last 9 years without him. And I'm pretty darn proud of the life that we have built together. And our 3 beautiful children are at the center of that. This little family of mine brings me so much joy. So much happiness. And even on the worst of days, when nothing is feeling right and I'm questioning everything I am doing, I know that my family is my constant. My rock.

I love you babe. And I'm so lucky that I get to spend eternity with you.
