Book #52 - Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder

Chocolate Chip Cookie Murder
Joanne Fluke

Blurb: Hannah already has her hands full trying to dodge her mother's attempts to marry her off while running The Cookie Jar, Lake Eden's most popular bakery. But once Ron LaSalle, the beloved delivery man from the Cozy Cow Dairy, is found murdered behind her bakery with Hannah's famous Chocolate Chip Crunchies scattered around him, her life just can't get any worse. Determined not to let her cookies get a bad reputation, she sets out to track down a killer. But if she doesn't watch her back, Hannah's sweet life may get burned to a crisp. (From Goodreads)

Length: Medium - 310 pages

Notes: Yep, another series... I did a post on Zupas a little while back about Foodie Fiction. Several people mentioned this series by Joanna Fluke and said that the books were good. And I'll agree. This was a cute, good book. I think it would be one categorized in that "cozy mystery" genre. It's not too deep, but it's entertaining. And it doesn't hurt that food is mentioned a lot, and a few recipes are included. (Yes - I will be trying a few of them out!) Even though it's a murder mystery, it's not dark at all, but like I said, entertaining. I'll have to check out the second book in the series. (There are actually 13 books in the series as far as I can tell!!)

Random quote : "It was the time of day when Lake Eden residents decided it was too late for a breakfast cookie and too early for a lunch cookie."

Recommend: Yes
