Instagram Randomness - October 2012

October 1 - every time we go to the grocery store, she begs to ride the horse. I finally gave in. She thought it was fun for about 10 seconds, and then was bored. :)

10/5 - when walking outside to discover a pumpkin on the porch, she said excitedly: "Mommy, where did this pumpkin come from?  Did the Halloween ghost bring it for us?"  Then in the car, she kept talking about the pumpkin.  "Maybe it was from the Halloween bunny.  Or the Halloween witch.  Yeah, but I think she is a good witch!"

10/11 - Abbi - Your plate is empty, mom
            Me - Yep, I ate all of my dinner
            Abbi - ohhh, bless your heart!

(I asked her where she learned that - I guess it's in the Little Red Riding Hood book that we read.  I didn't even notice it!)

10/14 - Me - Abbi, will you put this away?
             Josh - Are you listening, Abbi?
             Abbi - Sorry, I can't hear you!

10/20 - Me - We have to go home to make soup for the party.
            Abbi - but what about cookies?  We can't have a party without dessert!

10/25 - Abbi - What do pandas eat?
            Me - I think they eat leaves.
             Abbi - no they don't.
            Me - Then what do they eat?
             Abbi - They eat bamboo!
 (I guess my 3-year old is smarter than I am!!)

October 8 - Poor girl hadn't been feeling the best, but her eyes started getting really puffy. After a few days of this, it was off to the doctor. The doctor didn't really know why they got so puffy, but luckily after a few days, it went away.

Halloween 2012

I feel badly because I didn't even take very many pictures this Halloween.  As it turns out, being 9 months pregnant really kind of takes it out of you!! :)

But I did manage to get a few.  Halloween is Abbi's favorite holiday, and she was so excited to dress up like a mermaid - complete with purple hair.  Easton was a dragon, and to my surprise, he even kept his jacket and hood on.

We went trick-or-treating up and down the street, then some of their cousins came and they went back out again.  There was too much candy, and a lot of fun!

Fall Walk

The weather has been so nice out, so we decided to take advantage of a nice fall day and go for a walk.  There is a trail by the river here very close that is so pretty - especially this time of year.  It was great to get out of the house and to get some much needed fresh air!

Pumpkin Carving 2012

It's time for the annual Mitchell pumpkin carving party at the Holman's house!

Once again this year, the festivities did not disappoint.  There was wonderful food - lots of spooky food, too - great decorations, and of course... pumpkin carving!!

Abbi was really excited to have her own pumpkin to carve.  She even helped to pull out the seeds.

Then she drew the face on the pumpkin and I cut it out.  She was so proud of her pumpkin!

As always, there were some really great pumpkins carved.  It was such a fun night!!

Pumpkin Patch 2012

I have a "bucket list" of things I want to do before the baby comes.  I know that with 3 kids, 3 and under, it might be hard to get out and do things for awhile, so I need to take advantage of every moment I have, even though I feel large and not very well!!

On the list was of course - a visit to the pumpkin patch.  We have the coolest pumpkin patch here, with hayrides, corn pits, hay mazes and animals to pet.

So we loaded up the family and headed over for some fall fun!!
