July 16 - Storm coming in

July 23 - Someone wants to be a baby again!
July 26 - My superhero, sunglass wearing artist

Easton Randoms - July 2012

Looks like he's a stylish one, too! :)

Wanting to play with his sister

Abbi Randoms - July 2012

Abbi is in a pajama stage.  She loves wearing pajamas.  And usually changes 5 times a day!!

More pajamas (plus a tutu) amd lots of toys!!

I sometimes get afraid for when this baby gets here - Abbi keeps getting into these baby moods, where she just wants to pretend to be a baby.  Hopefully she won't be jealous of the baby!

Letters

Abbi has become obsessed with letters lately.  So we decided to sit down and start writing them.  She didn't want to just learn the alphabet, but she wanted to skip right ahead to spelling things.  We started off with her name, and I was so surprised at how quickly she picked it up!  She wrote this completely herself after we practiced together for awhile.  I need to be better about consistently helping her.

At the Carnival

I think we have a little daredevil on our hands - Abbi has proved to love anything action oriented.  So when the city carnival was in town, we had to head down for some fun.

I honestly thought that she wouldn't like the roller coaster and that it would be too scarry, but she totally loved every minute.  It was so much fun to see her smiling as she was going around.

She wanted to ride every single ride there was!

Easton started to get sad and jealous watching his sister get to have all the fun.

And even though I was scared at first that he wouldn't like it or that he would try to climb out of the ride, I was quickly proven wrong!

He loved it just as much as Abbi!

They would have seriously ridden every ride if we would have let them.  I think we have 2 ride lovers on our hands!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

This year for Josh's birthday, we all went to a Bee's game. We decided to go on the 24th since they were having fireworks that night.

It was the first time for either of the kids to go to a game, and it was fun - although a little crazy - for all of us
.

The kids wanted cotton candy, and of course, Josh and I wanted hot dogs!!

The game ended up going very long, so we left before it was even over. Josh's knee was bothering him too much to sit anymore, and the kids were getting cranky. So we missed out on the fireworks, but it was still lots of fun!

Zoo Trip #2

Can you believe that the first time we made it to the zoo was for Easton's birthday earlier this year, but we actually managed to make it back a second time this year?

I got free tickets for a blogging event, so the whole family came along.

It was as fun as always, but it was July - and I am pregnant.  Those two combined are not the best combination.  And as much as I wanted to spend the whole day there, the heat was just a little too much for me.

But we did get to spend a few hours, and loved it.  I can't wait to go back again and spend some more time there.  (We still didn't get to see the giraffes...)

We did ride the train this time - which we didn't do last time.  The kids both thought it was pretty cool!

Field Trip Fun - Radio Disney Days

I have loved doing weekly field trips, but after this one, I think that we might hold off until after the baby comes!!  I'm sure there will still be a few field trips, but going weekly is getting a little too hard for this big, pregnant mama!!

This  week, we decided to go to the Radio Disney Days at the Gallivan Center.  I really didn't know what to expect since we have never been before.  But I do have to say - I was a little bit disappointed.  It kept being advertised as being free, but when we got there, the only free thing to do were 2 bounce houses.

But regardless, Abbi had fun.  One of the bounce houses - the slide - was wet, so that made it even more fun!

And of course, there is always fun when water fountains are involved!!  I wish I would have thought ahead and brought swimming suits, but these two don't mind getting their clothes wet!

The fun ended when both of my flip flops broke - within minutes of each other. I think it's because they were cheap shoes, and they got wet at the bottom of the bounce house slide. And the ground was about 100 degrees, so it was impossible to walk without shoes. Let's just say it was an adventure getting back to the car!
