Baby Feet

Too cute for words
Umm, not so cute!!

I just had to take a picture of my horrible feet. Luckily, this was several days ago, and a lot of the swelling is down now. This is one of the reasons blogging hasn't been so easy lately - I really have been trying to stay off of my feet as much as possible. But it's kind of funny, because over the last couple of days, I've been feeling way more "nesty" than I ever did when I was pregnant. I'm wanting to cook and clean, but I'm still trying to take it easy and rest. I think I'm mostly just tired of sitting in front of the tv. But I do have to say that I am so thankful for the tv, because otherwise, breast feeding every 2 hours all day long would be a bit boring!

Abby is doing great. I can't believe she is already 11 days old. Time really does fly. I can't complain, because she is such a good baby. She already sleeps great at night - usually only waking up once between 9pm/10pm and 5am. Our biggest struggles right now are 1 - she doesn't like getting put down. I'm working on that right now, trying to put her down in her bassinet for every nap instead of holding her all the time, and she's getting better, but she is not a happy camper when she wakes up and is not in my arms. And 2 - I think my daughter is an emotional eater! She thinks that she has to eat to fall asleep, and she has to eat when she gets up. We're getting everything figured out, though!

I'm just trying to enjoy every moment with her right now. Being a mother really is an amazing experience!!

oh.. she's a marathon nurser like Miles?? I went through that too.. seriously.. go see a lactation specialist even if you think you guys are doing great. I thought Miles was a great latcher until about the 2nd week.. then I was in sooo much pain. Our lactation consultant was seriously a God!!! She was wonderfull..

I am soo glad Abby is a good sleeper.. that's one thing we are still dealing with.. you are very lucky..

dont you hate the hours between about noon and 2.. i swear there is NOTHING on tv.. I've even thought about giving in and trying to watch soap opera's just because there is nothing else..
Ellen time is my favorite time of day! that and Rachel Ray! :)
Pretty sad when your life revolves around what you can watch while you're nursing!
Keep taking it easy.. those dishes will clean themselves!
Email me if you need anything.. take care...

I love Abby's feet but your feet make me nervous. Maybe I should rethink getting pregnant someday. :)

Oh Lord I had the swollen feet last time. I had to be put on medication to help flush the excess fluids from my body because I was SO swollen.

Good luck on the not holding her thing!!! We still rock my son to sleep. Some kids/babies just need that extra comfort and closeness. I tried fighting it for the longest time...then I realized I was just costing us both precious sleep and increasing our frustration (That's also a big reason why we co-sleep...we ALL get a good night's sleep!). Just find what works best for both of you!

Time FLIES. And yes, baby feet are the sweetest ever! I still nibble on Cash's - and he's just found them himself and it's so cute to watch him play!

My feet looked like that, too. I had to take a diuretic to get rid of the swelling and drop my blood pressure - it's the only thing that worked for me. (I also took labetalol but it did NOTHING.)

Take it easy! Can't wait for more pics.

Oh.. I have pics of my feet like that with my first pregnancy. Oiw. I feel for ya. I remember getting so depressed because I thought you were just supposed to loose that but then my cuz told me it takes two weeks before the water retention starts to leave your body..
cute little girl. :)
