I'm warning you right now - I know I usually go picture crazy, but I went really crazy on this post! I just had the hardest time narrowing down the photos!!A couple of months before the 4th of July, we got a booklet in the mail with all of the Freedom Days activities that were going to be happening. I marked a few of them down, and I'm so glad we actually went and did a couple of things!
One thing I've always wanted to do is go to the Balloon Festival. And this year was the year! We woke up super early - Josh and I got up at 5am and woke up Abbi at 5:30am so that we could leave by 6. The balloons were supposed to take off at 6:30, and we got there with plenty of time to see them still inflating some of the balloons and we were there for the take off. It was quite a sight to see!! Abbi absolutely loved it and was entranced by the balloons.
This is something that we want to make a tradition every year now - it was so much fun!!
The Coca-Cola balloon didn't actually fly because there wasn't enough room to land it. But it was huge - they said 17 stories tall!
After we left, we decided to sit in the car for a bit before heading over to the parade. The balloons were still in the air, and Abbi just loved watching them! (And my mirror really needs washed...)

You DID get some awesome photos! How fun is that!?! Maybe I'll join you next year...looks like a sight to see!
