4th of July Weekend Part 4 - First Time Swimming

Abbi is nearly 18 months, and had never been in a swimming pool. I had been talking ever since summer started about taking her swimming, and I finally decided to go for it since we were having a day full of fun. After taking a nice long nap at home after the parade, Abbi and I packed up a few things and headed to the Lindon pool. I had never been there before, but had heard that it was really nice.

I overheard several people there saying that it was the busiest they had ever seen it, but it still wasn't too bad. We were able to find a spot on the grass for our things, and Abbi could barely wait to get into the water.

She was not timid at all!! I thought it would take her a bit to warm up to the idea, but she LOVED it. She would squeal whenever someone would run by and splash her, and she just giggled and smiled practically the whole time we were there.

She loved to play in the shallow kids pools, and she loved to go around the lazy river in the floaty.

I wish I could have taken more pictures, but it was kind of hard since it was just me and her, and even though I just had my point and shoot, we would have to walk back and forth to our stuff every time I wanted to get in the water. But she loved the water! I have a feeling we are going to need to start her in swimming lessons next year!
