Being Crafty

A few weeks ago, I got together with 2 of my sisters and my sister-in-law for some crafting. Let's just say first of all that I am not crafty. I wish I was, but I feel so awkward and I just don't have that talent like some other people do. I'm sad about it, too, because I run across crafty things all of the time that I'd like to do, but I just don't know how to go about it myself. Luckily, I had my sisters to lean on and show me the way!

We wanted to make this wreath that was over on Tatertots and Jello. So we all got together, and started cutting. And cutting, and cutting. After a couple of hours, we had run out of burlap and still weren't done cutting. So we called it a day.

Honestly, I thought I'd get home and put my things away and never finish my wreath. But next time I was out, I stopped and got some more burlap. And then just the other day, I decided that I was going to finish - and I did!!

Yes - I did feel like I didn't know what I was doing as I was finishing up, but I'm so glad I followed through and finished it. I love it!! It makes me happy whenever I pull into my driveway and see my little piece of spring hanging on the door. And knowing that I made it makes me smile even more!

That is such an awesome wreath -- such great spring colors! The crafty gene seems to have missed me...

Your wreath turned out great! I saw a lady on tv making a wreath like this and I wanted to make one until I realized all the cutting necessary! Glad you finished yours!

Cute wreath. The bright fabric colors stand out nicely. After seeing your's I want to make one with an autumn theme.
