Book #22 - The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows

I loved this book. Definitely one of my favorites this year. I fell in love with the characters and with Guernsey - I think I want to move there now!! This book had it all for me. I laughed out loud several times, and I also cried. I usually am eager to finish each book I am reading so that I can move onto the next one on my list, but with this one, I didn't want it to end. But at the same time, I couldn't put it down. It was a book that seemed so real to me, even though I knew it was fiction. This is the only book I've read that is in letter format like this, and it was a bit hard to keep the characters straight at the beginning, but that didn't last too long. This is one I'd recommend!

Sounds like good beach reading! And I love it when you don't want a book to end. That's the best feeling.
